LA Soil Summit

LA Soil Summit addresses wildfire recovery in Altadena

ALTADENA, Calif., Feb, 2026 – Community3.0x and Earthstock Enterprises will host the LA Soil Summit Feb. 21-22 to address post-wildfire soil contamination and community resilience following the devastating Altadena and Palisades fires.

The two-day hybrid event combines hands-on soil testing and remediation training with expert strategy sessions. Day one features field demonstrations at the Altadena burn site, while day two offers a virtual forum with keynote speakers and panel discussions.

Event Details:

Day One (In-Person): Feb. 21, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT Location: Altadena burn site Activities: Hands-on demonstrations, expert soil testing and community-led workshops focused on immediate recovery and soil remediation. Agenda

Day Two (Virtual): Feb. 22, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. PT Platform: Zoom Focus: Expert keynotes and discussions on actionable solutions for regional recovery.

"Healing the land and healing the community go hand-in-hand. We're asking those affected by the Altadena and Palisades fires to voice their concerns so we can provide direction and resources where possible," said Greg Apodaca, chief explorer and CEO of Community3.0x. Agenda

"The LA Soil Summit is more than an event, it's a movement to bridge the gap between ecological disaster and community-led healing," said Michael DiMartino, founder of Earthstock Enterprises.

The summit aims to equip youth and residents with tools to become active stewards of their environment, demonstrating that conservation offers a pathway for both personal and ecological resilience.

This summit marks the first in a series of planned environmental actions, with future events scheduled for LA Climate Week, Ojai Summit and Green Economy Conference 2026 (GEC6). The event is supported by a coalition of environmental leaders including the Earth Rights Institute, Los Angeles Climate Week, #ReBuildLAGreen and Build Back Green Global.

Registration and donations are tax-deductible through OBA as a fiscal sponsor. Otherwise you can register through Eventbrite or Community30x.com/events.
