🌿 The Buddha Stands: A Message from the Ashes

#RebuildLAGreen

"In the aftermath of LA's devastating fires, I stood in what was once my home. Everything - memories, photos, even our "fireproof" safe - reduced to ash. Yet somehow, our garden's Buddha remained, untouched. A symbol of resilience amid destruction." ~ Greg Apodaca

This isn't just about one statue. Across LA, we're seeing how communities that work with nature thrive:

Palisades/Eaton Resilience Collective

LA Climate Week

LA Habitat for Humanity

LA City Mayor Karen Bass

East LA Planting over 300 trees and drought tolerant landscaping

LA2050/USGBC/LEED Wildfire Safety & Support Guide

For seven years, Community 3.0X has studied nature's blueprints for resilience. Now, as LA faces unprecedented devastation, these lessons are more vital than ever.

Like a forest's underground network, like a coral reef'los angeles community resilience

s defense system - survival demands community. Individual action isn't enough.

Ready to help rebuild LA differently, working with nature instead of against it?

Utter Devastation

The worst natural disaster in US history

As of February 15, 2025, the Los Angeles wildfires have caused significant destruction and disruption.

Here are the key statistics:

  • At least 29 people have died in the fires, with 17 deaths attributed to the Eaton Fire and 12 to the Palisades Fire.
  • The Palisades Fire alone has burned through over 23,448 acres of land, making it the most destructive fire in Los Angeles' history.
  • The Eaton Fire has burned over 14,021 acres and destroyed or damaged more than 10,491 structures.
  • The fires have destroyed or damaged over 17,000 structures in the Palisades area alone, surpassing the destruction caused by the Sayre Fire of 2008.
  • The insured losses from the fires may exceed $20 billion, and total economic losses could reach $50 billion.
  • The fires have displaced tens of thousands of people, with around 200,000 people under evacuation orders at one point.

The fires are still ongoing, and the return of high winds could see these fires spread again or fuel new ones.
